Posting To Your Posterous Network and Your Micro-Niche Blog
At the end of seven days of work in this module creating account and setting up anchor text links, you will have created a network that you can now leverage. In today's lessons Ed shows you how to post to your Posterous network and outlines the publishing schedule you should follow for your micro-niche blog.
In today's first lesson Ed demonstrates how to post to your Posterous network. Ed shows you the network that has been created this week and the services that have been added. Ed then outlines how to could email directly to Posterous from inside Google Reader before showing you in detail how to draft an article in an email, drawing in elements like a block quote, YouTube video and link to the original source article.
Ed then shows you how to create an anchor text link in the article before emailing the article directly to Posterous using the email address you provided when creating your Posterous account. Ed shows you the end result that takes place after posting to Posterous, showing you freshly posted article having been distributed to all of the various services that were added to your Posterous account. This is very powerful to see in action.
Ed's second video for the day outlines the regularity with which you should start posting to your micro-niche blog and your Posterous network.
For your micro-niche blog, it's very important that you post a new article roughly once a week. Having written an article already for your main keyword phrase, now is the time to start writing articles for your category keyword phrases as well, and begin posting them once a week.
For your Posterous network, a good rule of thumb is to think of the network like your notebook, and to post to your network whenever the mood takes you or whenever you find something interesting or newsworthy for your micro-niche. Every time you do post, you are building yet another one of those all important backlinks so you need to have an anchor text link in the post you send out. You can find content to post about using techniques already covered in The Challenge so far such as Google Reader or Market Samurai's Find Content Module.
Actions For The Day - 1. Create your first post for your newly created Posterous network, send it out and check to see it's being distributed correctly by visiting the sites you have created on the various services. 2. Begin writing and posting articles focussing on your category keyword phrases to your micro-niche blog on a weekly basis. 3. Get into the habit of posting to your Posterous network on a regular basis, always ensuring that you include an anchor text link leading to your micro-niche blog.
