The Challenge Training

Getting Your WPD Blog Indexed By Google

The final day of Module 2 is all about getting your site indexed and found by the search engines, basically letting the world know that your site exists. It's a simple process, but a crucial one.

Mike Roberts from Traffic Bug explains how indexing works and how, by using Traffic Bug, you can dramatically reduce the time it takes to get your site indexed. What could takes you hours to do manually, becomes a task that is reduced to just a few minutes.

Mike outlines how Traffic Bug works, which is by using social bookmarking, RSS submission and search engine submission, and how you can easily get yourself signed up for a free account.

Mike then demonstrates how to use the Traffic Bug interface and setup your project. This includes how to add your micro-niche blog URL and how to fill out the various fields for the project, and how to find the RSS feed for your blog. Pay particular attention to Mike's instructions for adding titles, descriptions and tags for your blog and in particular setting your submission options.

Once a project is created, Mike shows you how the project information will look and what you should expect to see. Also remember that as you create posts on your blog, they all have their own unique URL which can also be submitted for indexing as part of the same Traffic Bug project.

Actions For The Day - 1. Sign up for your free Traffic Bug account. 2. Create a new project and add your blog URL to it. 3. Follow the process outlined and submit your blog for indexing.
