Setting Up Your WPD Blog and Publishing Your First Article

Today is the day you setup your blog using the free Wordpress Direct account and the domain and hosting that you purchased at the beginning of module 2. Marty takes you through the steps involved in setting up your blog using Wordpress Direct (WPD), and Dr Anthony walks you through publishing your first article to your blog using Market Samurai.

In the first lesson for the day, Marty shows you how to create your blog using your free Wordpress Direct account, your purchased domain name and hosting account, your theme and category keywords and optionally a brief description of your website/blog of about 30 words.

Marty shows you how to check and make sure that your domain and hosting is ready to go, and then takes you through the WPD blog setup process. The WPD setup process includes choosing a theme, entering the required details you need to get your blog installed, what options and settings you should choose when installing your blog, and what your WPD dashboard should look like after the installation is finished.

Dr Anthony shows you how to enter your Wordpress Direct account details into the Publish Content Module of Market Samurai, which allows you to write and publish articles to direct to your new blog from within Market Samurai. Dr Anthony walks you through all of the steps involved and shows you what you should see if you've entered all of your details correctly.

Once you have your WPD account correctly setup, your last step for the day is to publish your written article to your new blog. There are a few options available when publishing to your blog from Market Samurai, which Dr Anthony explains as he goes through the steps.
