The Challenge

John Carlton is one of my favorite people , a dear friend and a ridiculously talented copywriter…

Do yourself a favor and check out this very challenge appropriate article…

Money, money, money, money…

For me, though, it’s freaking profound.  The problems that ate me up during the first half of my life… when I was lost, directionless and kept ending up sleeping on people’s couches (because the business world kept spitting me out) (and my girlfriends kept leaving cuz I was such a loser)…

… were all specifically related to not having enough money to get a toehold in life.

Rent was a problem.  Getting a speeding ticket was a major financial blow that could crush my entire budget.  Any adventure that required new clothes or new equipment or a long trip was completely out of the question.

Thanks for turning me on to this post. It really hit home. Money has been a thing with me for a long, long time and it was interesting to read that someone else has gone through the same thing.

So happiness is in our attitudes rather than in our bank accounts. As Wayne Gretzky once said “Change your attitude and you change everything” but, of course Wayne's bank account is no little thing either. Wayne's dad, Walter (a fellow stroke survivor) still lives in the same house and drives a previously owned car (or at least he did) Maybe Walter taught Wayne more than just how to play ice hockey. Why not read Walter's book. (available from Amazon and other great book stores)

Thanks for the link to the post. It's nice to know that others have been through what I'm going through. The tips are wonderful, and I'm going to start putting them into action.
