Our very own Mark Copeman just had his first mini-retirement.

He brilliantly writes about his experiences in the awesome blog post

My favourite is Number 37.

Read and get a bit inspired for the challenge ahead.

Pre-Challenge Day 6 – Symphony Of Four Parts

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

Well this is it…the penultimate Pre-Challenge lesson before the start of The Challenge tomorrow. It wouldn’t be the same if Ed Dale didn’t review the foundations of Internet Marketing in the magnificent Symphony Of Four Parts.

http://www.challenge.co/training/2010/pre/day6

The four parts are of course:

  1. Market Research
  2. Traffic
  3. Conversion
  4. Product

These high level concepts underpin the whole Challenge strategy (and Internet Marketing) in general and we will expect all participants in The Challenge to understand unquestionably how important these parts are. Your success online will ultimately be founded on your understanding and mastery of these principles.

Pre-Challenge Day 5 – Disclaimer

Friday, July 9th, 2010

Today’s Pre-Challenge training video is a disclaimer for The Challenge. Ed provides full disclosure regarding the commercial relationships with 3rd parties that are involved with The Challenge, promotional activities you may be exposed to and what if any costs you may incur.

http://www.challenge.co/training/2010/pre/day5

The main goal of this video is full transparency. We want you to be fully aware and comfortable with these matters so you can concentrate and get full value from the training.

It goes without saying that there are no guarantees or representations about what money you may or may not earn as a result of your participation in The Challenge. You are here to learn a method for testing the traffic and potential commercial value of niches on the Internet.

If you have any questions about the matters discussed in the video email challengehelp@gmail.com.

Pre-Challenge Day 4 – Setting Expectations

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

It helps, before undertaking any project to be able to set realistic expectations you hope to achieve. On Day 4 of the Pre-Challenge Ed discusses what your expectations should be for The Challenge in 2010:

http://www.challenge.co/training/2010/pre/day4

Ed covers in detail the absolute importance of that first $ and what YOU can do to increase your chances of success this year.

Somehow Ed managed to find himself in a cane field in far North Queensland when he recorded this video…it’s best not to ask too many questions :)

Pre-Challenge Day 3 – Google Chrome

Monday, July 5th, 2010

Hi Challengers,

Here on day 3 of the Pre-Challenge, we are recommending Google Chrome as the browser of choice for The Challenge in 2010. You can access the Day 3 training page here:

http://www.challenge.co/training/2010/pre/day3

We make a browser recommendation for 2 reasons:

  1. We want participants to use a fast, fully featured browser that supports all the audio and video formats that are used in Internet Marketing.
  2. We want people to have the same experience and views of websites themselves as what they see in the videos we record for The Challenge

For us, particularly now that there is support for extensions, Google Chrome meets all of our requirements.

So watch the video, install Google Chrome on your computer and install all of the recommended extensions.

GuruBob

ps remember it is OK to have several browsers installed on your computer at the same time but only one will be the default browser that opens up when you click a web link.

Pre-Challenge Day 2 – Twitter

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

Ed Dale on Twitter

Hi Challenger’s,

Today’s video in the 2010 Pre-Challenge is on Twitter.

Twitter & social media are part of our every day lives. It’s where
our customers can be found. It’s where we can learn about what’s
important to our customers.

Right now though, it’s about getting you set up & started in
Twitter. Getting yourself comfortable and familiar with it -
it’s not hard, but if you’re new, everything can seem foreign
first time around, even for me!

Ed’s video on Twitter will take you through how to sign up,
how to find people and how to communicate with people.

Ed also explains the use of hash tags including the official hash
tag for The Challenge in 2010 #tc10.

So watch the video for today: Go sign up to Twitter. Follow @Ed_Dale &
@challenge. While you are at it, make sure you follow @gurubob and
@DanRaine as well.

Watch and learn,

GuruBob
